Ah yes...I'm trying to lose 30 pounds.
Ha!
No really.
Totally blows...but, I refuse to buy bigger pants. Absolutely refuse. I also refuse to buy bigger shirts because it's not my boobs that are the problem, but my tummy. Oh for petesake, what the hell.
Been doing 10 or 20 minute workouts in the mornings. I think I need to order a hoop for work that I can keep at the office...of course, not sure where I could hoop for 10 minutes. When it's warm I'll happily go outside. Hmmm....I should look into this.
Because really, I have fun hooping.
And, that's all for now. I know, how incredibly sodding exciting!

hooplah!
Finally busted out my hoop last night. It's been way too long, and I'm a little rusty, but it felt good. It's amazing the workout you get with 20 to 30 minutes of hooping.
Sorry about the abundance of video effects, it's been a while since I've played with any editing software as well. I went a little overboard.
I especially like when the room looks like it's turned into the set of an 80's music video (back when there were still music videos...played on a regular basis...uninterrupted by episodes of My Super Sweet Sixteen and Next), almost like Dire Straits "Money for Nothing." (It's at about :47.)
And don't mind the outfit...it was a workout...I have the right to look slobulous.

5 interviews

As a motivator during my job hunt, Jeff told me that if I scored 5 interviews, he'd get me an LED hula hoop.
Turns out, JV was my fifth interview. So, not only did I get my dream job...but I also got this fancy light up hula hoop.
I look like a UFO...which has also been sort of a dream of mine, come to think of it.

a belated memorial day post

This past Memorial Day, Jeff came over to hang out with me and my family. After lunch, we played a few mean games of Badminton. I liked to yell "Atta' boy, Luther!" whenever someone hit the shuttlecock.
I also like to say shuttlecock for no reason.
We also had a water balloon fight, and then eventually headed to the beach. I took this picture just before we got on the pier.
I made this hoop a while ago, and didn't realize that when I took the picture, it looked like I was purposely creating a rainbow.
I also didn't realize how freaked out I get when I walk on the pier. As soon as we got to the end of it, I turned around and walked back toward the parking lot, holding the railing for dear life.
